Well the moving to the new house this month is now official.. the house has an IP address and that IP is in my Nagios monitor so I can see how the reliability goes for a couple of weeks before I move. Getting a steady 17Mbit down at the moment. Went with Uverse for now.. knew more about how it worked. I'll look into FIOS once I get moved in if I ( Read more... )

I've heard good things about UVerse Internet. The TV part, not so much, but that's not a big concern for you... There's rumblings that UVerse intends to expand its cap system (150GB, that's just annoying) beyond Beaumont but I honestly can't see them bringing it to a market like D/FW where, especially in your case, two telcos and one (or two) cable company are available.
