School just started for me too, and I kinda feel overwhelmed with the amount of writing I have to do. I'm an IT major, so I used to long programming assignments, but now I have to deal with that and papers from my (required) communications class and "Technology in American History" class. Oh well, at least I'm taking game design and ceramics and those seem to be awesome!
I watched some of the VMAs, as I came home really late. After it restarted, I just had the music in the background while I was working on something else. I didn't watch Miley Cyrus' performance during the show (just heard it), but everyone was talking about it, so I watched it online yesterday. It was terrible, talentless and pointless. I really liked Justin Timberlake's and Bruno Mars' performances though. The rest of the show was kinda just eh.
Also kinda pissed about how they treated Daft Punk. I still don't know if the whole Stephen Colbert thing was staged or not, but if it wasn't MTV kinda screwed them over, and I would have loved to see them actually perform!
I just got done with 8 homework assignments and I'm kinda sad that I only made it through them so fast because they were reviews. xD; Good luck with your papers, though! And ceramics sounds like so much fun, hopefully when I'm a bit more ahead I can think about taking an art elective again~
I know, right? I had secondhand embarrassment throughout the performance. I like the reaction cam, though. The Smith family was hilarious!
While I was suuuper disappointed that they didn't even perform at the VMAs after the deal with Stephen (and I doubt that was a stunt, although I should go watch the episode again to see if he says 'performance' versus 'appearance'), the best part about them not showing up for the Colbert Report was that beautiful video he made with Hugh Laurie, Jeff Bridges, Bryan Cranston, and the rest. x3
Still, 8 homework assignments is a lot! Hopefully you have some free time this week because you finished them so fast!
I really did like the replacement video on the Colbert Report. It was hilarious, and just an awesome use of music an silly dance moves. The reason I think it was sort of a stunt was because I was watching Jimmy Fallon, and saw Colbert dance with him randomly days before the clip aired on the Colbert Report. I do think that DP was supposed to be on his show, but he had a few days notice instead of just a few hours. Nevertheless, it was a great replacement, and one of the funniest things I had seen from the show!
Those VMAs made me just go.......what the hell really. Honestly, I don't even want to watch it, just hearing about and seeing pictures is enough for me. I agree though that a Daft Punk performance would have been amazing, but instead, we get all the ridiculous ones... Though DP's reactions were freaking hilarious XD

The only reason I wanted to watch it was because of them and Lady Gaga (whose performance was awesome, if a bit tamer than usual). And lol! I hadn't seen that! Do you know what performance the reaction cam caught them on?
Oh, I agree completely, they should not have been booed at at all. I'm not a fan of 1D but at the same time I'm not mad that they won, it's just there were other songs that were better and more fitting of 'Song of the Summer'. It wasn't their fault MTV sucks and the audience disagreed with the results.

Aww, yeah....I really don't understand their choices. I have no idea why they went for something that's...obviously not popular with older people like us. It's OBVIOUS that 1D would have been chosen by children, while bands liek DP would have been chosen by us.
Funny thing about FromJapan.... I only use Noppin but when I looked up Final Fantasy, it brought me to some..... Prince anime thing. I was so confused! I decided to check on FromJapan and looked up Final Fantasy only to get Final Fantasy listings.
WTF!? I guess I'll have to use FromJapan to look up listings and then plug them into Noppin....
Lol, good luck on your hunt! I still use SMJ's search engine even though I don't use them anymore (although with all the crap happening with my shipping lately I'm tempted to go back...)

Wasn't your shipping bad with SMJ too? I never had an issue with Noppin with shipping so yea, willing to pay extra... I'd offer to add your stuff with mine but that would mean extra shipping cost for you and next year is gonna be crazy for me cause I have to move....
It was a couple of times near the end. There was that one HUGE fiasco with my package going to my aunt because they shipped it to my old address for some reason and then not shipping my items because a few of them had not come in even though they were marked as such. Which, the first one was really bad but considering I'm having problems about every other time I ship from FJ I'm getting just a bit frustrated with them. :/ But I did get an email from them and they said they got it back at their warehouse and it's because it didn't have a certain safety form with it. They'll let me know when they ship it back out.
