Yayyy I've been waiting for this since forever! I absolutely love this already, you've got the Victorian English spot on, and Adam trying to be well-mannered is adorable! Eagerly awaiting the next chapter :D

So, perhaps it's crass of me, but I was cracking *up* watching Adam try not to show his shock at the lack of political correctness of the time. I appreciate that he went with the "when in Rome" line of thought. Definitely want to see how he responds internally when he realizes the import of not letting Teh Gay show. If they would even recognize it if they saw it.

Also, vastly impressed at his recall of American history - pretty sure I got better grades than him but no way I could've done that well. :p

Nah, I had loads of fun writing that. Culture shock is always amusing! :-D

Given that Wilde is his favourite author IRL, I think he's extremely aware that he needs to do his best to pass. This is where Nina goes "yessssssssssssssss there's a scene in Velvet Goldmine that's entirely in Polari and it's Adam's favourite movie coincidence I love you."

Erm, I'm a history buff く＿く so his recall is probably actually way better than it should be, although I kept trying to dumb it down.
