Oh. This is WONDERFUL. I've had too much wine to claim any coherence as to why, but it is. I love Brad's quiet devotion, and his understanding, and how the need to take care of Adam trumps all else. Just a beautiful portrayal of a D/s relationship. (and you even worked in an eating disorder...)

Please, write in this universe FOREVER.

In my BBB, yup--it's futurefic, though. And HOPEFULLY A/U, since it involves Adam's car getting into a fight with a street sign while Adam is very drunk, and the car loses. DNW real-life Adam in a wheelchair.

Read this again. Still adoring. I think this is the first time I actually noticed there's minimal D/s interaction (?), the psychology and greater context is so pervasive it doesn't matter. (that's a clumsy way of saying it, but I think you know what I mean) I love that - the illustration of how it is beyond the sexual element, the bigger picture of trust and care that motivates all else.
