More Like Tokyo Babyl-Awesome!

Yeah. So I bought a whole bunch of TB... I just finished the first volume and it's pretty awesome. Heavy stuff, to be sure... y'know, aside from the constant snide banter from Hokuto.... and some of the costumes (woo the 90's). Also, Seishiro is a dude, and proves to us once again that, while honor may be sexy, villainy is irresistable. As long as ( Read more... )

Tokyo Babylon is one manga that will totally break your heart at the end of the series. Of course, there's always X--but get to the end of the SxS storyling and it'll leave you in tears as well. Clamp's really gone off the deep end lately, but Tokyo Babylon was one of their earlier works and is one of my favorites. <3 Sadly, for all the wonderful costumes, it isn't cosplayed nearly enough. There is however an awesome amount of well-written fanfic. ^^

XP Cosplay is art, not geekery. Okay, it's an artistic form of geekiness. *pokes you to cosplay Seishirou one day*

Yeah, from the little X I've seen I figured it wouldn't end happily x_x... I'll probably cry... We totally need to do a cosplay group though! *pokes self to cosplay Seishiro one day* ....If I stuck to the basics it wouldn't be hard at all (hell, I've been wanting a nice black suit anyway), but there's alot of time between now and next Otakon... time enough perhaps to do one of the staggering number of more complicated costumes!

and woo for artistic geekery

Well, the three of us all need to talk costumes together, but I think as of last time we talked we were going for the handcuff outfits, even thought we saw a Subaru and Hokuto wearing it at Otakon?

it would be really fun, and hey, Hokuto's get-up is the most complicated for that one, so if you're up to it, I'm definitley up to it... and Seishirou isn't wearing a trenchcoat, so I might not get heat stroke and die after all! (woo)

I agree with you on TB's awesomeness, but...

Please don't run away to Seishirou fandom and abandon me in Murakifandom ;_;

haha don't worry buddy, it's not like they're mutualy exclusive (right? or am I violating some wierd fandom taboo... fans ARE wierd) Besides, I haven't even finished TB (though I'll admit I'm frothing at the mouth to get the rest of the manga... I've got 1-4) so you don't have to start worrying yet... and besides, my favorite color is still white //_^
