i just realized that somewhere out there, somebody is making their living designing those sudoku puzzles. this realization is somewhat disturbing.

I saw it in theaters. Definitely some strange people into crosswords.
Very entertaining, though.

this looks like the literary equivalent of best in show, but i have no idea why. i kind of want to check it out...i'm pretty into crosswords, but not like these people must be. do they compete to solve puzzles the fastest?

Yeah - it's very intense to watch them in the tournament toward the end of the film. They've refined the process to such a degree that it's hard not to be amazed at their skill. It's definitely a very interesting film.
