Indaris and I have been playing with ideas for a War of Wrath tabletop strategy game, using basically the rules set from Warhammer 40k. The fun part, of course, is creating the miniatures - there will be lots of modeling and painting work, as there's really nothing out there that looks like a Valar

I'm not planning on sending this one to anyone important, there's several things about it that I'm not too happy with. Those pictures were relatively carefully chosen to not show some spots that aren't the best.

It's also the first miniature I've ever painted completely, so I'm still way down on the steep end of the learning curve. I'd like to win the Golden Demon (rather prestigious prize for model painting - rather like the Olympics) someday, but I doubt I'll be doing it with Glaurung here, or the next mini, or even the one after that.
