Losing people is painful, but you can't let yourself shut down completely. You have to move on, and live. For them.

The people that you lost wouldn't want you to become a hermit, because you're afraid of being attached to others. They'd want you to live, even if it was without them.

I'm not afraid of living. I'm just tired of having them leave, one after another. There's no explanation or anything.

...I understand how you feel. I think that way myself far too often, especially when everything seems to be going wrong.

But distancing yourself won't make your life any happier. Sure, getting attached means that when something goes wrong, the fall will be harder. But the good times outweigh the bad, and it isn't worth living a life along where you're likely to be miserable regardless.

...Humans are social creatures, I've noticed. As much as we want to, we can't survive on our own.
