Throwing peanuts at a squirrel isn't really a good idea...what if the peanut got lodged in the squirrel's ear? Remember what happened when you threw jelly beans...

Unless things have changed beyond all recognition, if you wish to have lots of 'up close and personal' interactions with MN squirrels, head over to the mall that stretches from Northrop Auditorium to Washington Avenue on the University campus.
And consider yourself lucky that they aren't any bigger than they are -- University squirrels are fearless and take no prisoners (just human lunches!)
