my new wand

Mar 15, 2006 12:11

I created this wand from scratch for the Anderson Feri Tradition class I'm taking with anaar. The construction is basically finished but I still have to consecrate and do additional binding.

This is a shard of silicon, which I chipped out of a much large chunk that I've had for several years. It's bound in with copper wire.

The handle is covered with black suede lacing, held in place with red-enameled copper wire. The silver band is a ring I've had and worn constantly for about twelve years.

There's an ethernet plug at the base of the handle, which is connected to the copper wire that enmeshes the whole wand. Air is the realm of technology, so the Guardian and I felt this was appropriate.
