I recently had a very strange idea (imagine that).  I live in a smoke-free home and can't burn incense, which many people seem to believe helps various spirits and godforms gain a physical form.  I didn't want to be left out of this reading way way too much into random images, and discovered a solution buried on the first page of William Gibson's ( Read more... )

Tv static annoys the hell out of me (it means the games console isn't working...) but i can see how the noise could be relaxing and focus the mind.

I have not used it for this particular purpose, but I have used video static and white noise for scrying. It seems to work quite well.

Have you ever tried using the "Blue Screen" as a Focus? I used to find the Blue Screen on my TV was fairly enTrancing when there was no other light. It has a pulsing, yet rather "void-like" feel to me.

Something else you might want to try, although you'd hafta get another TV to do it.

That's a very cool idea!

And I could see it being a little creepy for guests...but then, I'd expect most of them haven't seen Lain.

This is interesting. I 've recently begun forgoing the physical tarot in favor of a tarot program Douglas Rushkoff designed and I've found my readings have been much more accurate. Would love to hear about more screen-based visions, so definitely update on how this is working out for you!
