[Donny turns on the screen, looking very nervous.. and perhaps a bit afraid as he adjusts the communicator. When he's satisfied he straightens and glances just offscreen to where Raph is.] I.. I think I'm ready.
Come on Donny, ya can do this. [Raph says off camera, sounding a bit supportive.] Ya only have ta do this once.
[That earns a smile

So all he can do is be frustrated--relieved that Donatello has begun to tell his story--but frustrated that he can only listen. Minato opens the door to his bedroom--he's still on the first floor, for now--and stops mid-step when he sees Mikey in shock.
This is someone he can help. Minato's eyes soften and he walks over towards the brother of his students, sitting down slowly next to him on the couch. He puts a hand on his nearest shoulder.]
... Hey, Mikey.

H-Hey! Minato...uh...
[The communicator slipped off Mikey's lap to the floor, the thump of it's landing causing him to jump again.]
He he...oops.

Don't worry. I'll get it.
[Minato smiled kindly with a chuckle and put his foot furthest from Mikey onto his communicator. With a bit of chakra, the communicator was cemented in place, and all Minato had to do was lift his foot up. Then he took it with a hand as he released his concentration and gently tossed it onto the unused cushion of the couch.
With that done, he focused solely on the turtle that reminded him so much of his son. He let go of Mikey's shoulder but stretched his arm onto the back of the couch behind the turtle. Minato wanted to do more than that--his instincts told him to--but he didn't know the turtle well enough yet for that. At least his arm would be in position if it was needed. His expression grows serious, although his eyes are still soft.]
... Bit of a shock, wasn't it? ... ... You going to be okay?

But somehow, there's a small bit of relief. His brothers and the others understand his pain just a bit more. Just a bit more.]

Ya did good, Donny.

T-Thanks for being there for me, Raphy. I don't think I could've done it alone....

Ya gonna be ok? [There's more than that to the question, but for now he's staying, maybe not much longer though.]

A home long abandoned, crippled by age and neglect. Valerie, ten years older and jaded by grief and suffering. Vicious in her attacks like he had never seen before. Trapped by a monster with his face. Tied up with ectoplasmic rope on the graves of his family and best friends.
He couldn't lose to this. He just couldn't. They were memories. As far as anyone else was concerned, none of that had ever happened.
And it was Don who needed help now. Don who needed support. Don who didn't need to know anything about his own private nightmare. He could handle it. He had to handle it. For everyone's sake.]

When the comm shut off he sighed tiredly. It was progress. It's what needed to happen...but it still felt like it wasn't enough. He rubbed his eyes.]
Now what...
[In a battle he could change plans or come up with strategies at the drop of a hat, but...with his brothers he- he couldn't think of what else to do. He was at a lose and it was something he hated feeling.]
...shell.

His fault. His responsibility. Danny couldn't let anyone know. Don... His friend already had enough problems with his own bad future. This would just make him feel worse. Danny would handle this by himself, no matter what it took.]

For any one.
He slipped towards one of the windows, enjoying the slight breeze before starting to head towards the roof. Glancing into their upstairs apartment he paused. There was someone in there...but he had ever- Danny. Maybe he could ask the younger teen to keep and eye on Donny for him.
Slipping into the rooms he was about to call out when he spotted the boy.]
Danny?

[The echidna is short and to the point as he waits for permission to enter the room, he probably wouldn't have said anything else except there was a quiet 'mew' Knuckles speaks again sounding amused]
And uh? I think Klunk wants into your room as well.

[That makes Donatello blink. Knuckles came to see him? But before he can think about it further, he hears the little mew and surprises himself by smiling more.]
Come in, then. Both of you.

Donny? Are...you awake?

[And there's the voice he'd been waiting to hear. Donatello smiled a bit in relief as he drank from the mug of coffee that Knuckles had brought him.
... and then he realized the time. Early evening. Coffee. Shell.]
J-Just a minute, Leo!
[There was the sound of someone getting out of his chair. Donatello did his best to sneak the coffee under the bed without making a single floorboard creak.
Then, he crept back to his desk quickly and sat down, hoping Leo would think the smell was just how his room always smelled and that it wasn't fresh.]
Come in.
[Please don't find my coffee, please don't find my coffee, please don't find my coffee...]

For now.]
Thanks, Donny.
[He almost asked if he was interrupting anything but...this wasn't the lair. There was nothing to interrupt.]

... I should be thanking you, Leo. Not the other way around. You... listened.
