Maktub (The Alchemy)

Oct 28, 2014 22:21

Another crazy quant of time went by.
A splinter of eternity, a fleeting moment.
A mere blink of Universal eye.

For all the pains it brought - forgive me dear...

I'm still convinced the world revolves.
Around you, around us, around others -
For our sons, I know - it does.

This going 'round 'round 'round - makes me dizzy.

I wanted you. And you agreed!
A miracle. A happenstance beyond belief.
The Shift. The Rift. The Rip. The Gift - delivered.

Now twenty years past I doubt still - why me?

I never heard the soul of the world.
I shied the omens. Couldn't "feel it in the air."
The fate, the legend - these I never knew.

Maktub. "It's written." Is it?

For I, for all these years - only hear you.

P.S. And you?

Like water: flow, sing, run
Shape everything around and retreat.
Unstoppable.
Embody everything. Embalm.
Without a trace - evaporate.
Mirage.
No secret residue.

The alchemy.

The alchemy of you.

P.P.S. I doubt still - why me?
