Election update 7...

have just been watching Dead Ringers and Bremner, Bird and Fortune, but will now dedicate all my time to watching proper election coverage. favourite comedy moments so far...

• Confused electorate watching Michael Howard, Sven Goran Ericsson (England football manager) and Rory bremner dressed as Michael Howard trying to give speeches at the same time.
• Tony/Gordon Music video, set to Dolly Parton's 'Here you go again'
• Amusing versions of Tory slogan 'Are you thinking what we're thinking?' - Micheal Howard dressed as a vampire: "Are you drinking what we're drinking?", Dead Ringers comedian dressed as camp MP: "Are you mincing like we're mincing?" and Maggie Thatcher in front of photo of the Belgrano: "Are you sinking what we're sinking?"

I know the Belgrano joke is in bad taste, but I do think it's relevent - people are forgetting how badly off a lot of people were under the Tories. i don't really want another 5 years of Tony Blair, but I don't want 5 years of Micheal Howard either. I can understand people's apathy and dissatisfaction with the election - we don't have a choice anymore. labour have become the Tory party of the 1980s, the Tories are still trying to occupy their old ground with dwindling success, and the Lib Dems are trying to appeal to everyone.

Wow. this was meant to be a lighthearted, amusing entry. At least there were some slashy moments.
