Quick...get your gu...oh nevermind! It's just Con-Season! Well anyways Ive been putting some thought into it and trying to get some opinions on what to do and where to go. Im not talking about Sakura-Con cause thats pretty much a set in stone scenario. What I do mean though is Fanime vs Anime Expo

AX being held at LACC is such a major turnoff... But even without that reason, my vote still goes to Fanime. I almost forgot you weren't with us at Fanime '06! I did have a lot of fun at AX last year (though I honestly can't think of a con where I didn't have fun), but Fanime is definitely friendlier, more laid-back, less lines and less heat! I've always given people this comparison -- Sakura Con is like a mini-AX, and Kumoricon is a mini-Fanime. I think you can kind of get the differences between the con environment/community. Fanime doesn't get huge guests like AX, but guests were never a huge concern of mine, so it really depends what you go to cons for.

I love Fanime, the only problem is it's usually only a month or so away from Sakura Con, which doesn't give people much time to prepare for it... So planning ahead is a must.

You already know what I wanna do. I think it's pretty damn doable. 2 months to prepare isn't bad at all. Having SAK at the END of April would make it almost impossible, but since it's at the end of March (doesn't even ROLL into April this year), I think it's a pretty solid amount of time. Why, I do believe we can pre-reg and get a room before March is over and book plane tix before the end of April, no? Fanime pre-reg ends March 31st, I think it said. Then, find and book a reasonably priced flight before April and it should be set.

What costumes are you gonna use for SC? I'm gonna have a Miakis costume from Suiko IV at least for Saturday.
