I went with my roommate, Ray, and a couple of his high school friends (including his best friend's g/f) to Venice beach to buy Ray's friend a Christmas present, namely a "water pipe." You know how they say fact is crazier than fiction? They obviously never saw Nip/Tuck. Where else can you have a gay man who became a woman sleeping with "her" own son? Seriously. Everybody should start watching Nip/Tuck.

The last week was too much fun for one week. I did lots of stuff, but the highlight was Mexico. As a man wiser than me once put it, "it's a 24/7 festival everywhere you go." Nothing beats all-nighters. Especially all-nighters that include seeing drunk fights; my first trip to the Rock; Viejas poker tournament in the morning; sleeping an hour past when I'm supposed to be at work; and, the iving on the cake, watching Super Troopers.

First I get to play poker all night for only $10. At the casino, I got free pizza and free soda. Then, I got 7th place in the tourney, and left with $75.
