And there are folks who say I am just preaching to the choir.

To them, I have just one thing to say:

Can I get an AMEN?

i'm kinda in the middle...mostly because i don't have the time. Granted, i probably watch far more MSNBC than i should, but i try to limit it to my beloved Rachel. And yes, i actually watched more of the speeches at the Rep convo then the Dems. The only part i really dread if the worst happens is that the SCOTUS will be lobbed to the right so far it won't come back for a good 20+ years. Other than that, nothing will happen because everything will be fillabustered. *sigh*

The pendulum swings to one end...gets too extreme...AND returns to the center...and then swings to the other end. This is what a lifetime of following politics has taught me. The extremely liberal years of Johnson gave way to Nixon..which gave way to Carter, which gave way to Reagan/Bush...which gave way to Clinton which gave way top Bush..which gave way to Obama. Thats how it goes

The debate about abortion is that they want a 100% rollback of Roe v Wade - overturning 30 years of law. No exceptions. Get raped? Tough, you gotta have that kid. A living reminder of what happened. Daddy fucked his little girl? Welcome to the family you little inbred.

That is the new face of the republican party. The "center" has gone way to the right. Obama is practically equal to Ronald Reagan and he would be booted out of the party.

i used to think that those douchebags on the right would die off, but they just get replaced by younger douchebags. It's really a sad state of affairs.
