Just finished four days of guarding a store selling the new Apple iPhone 5, now I'm doing a week's worth of laundry before heading out to do a 12-hour shift in an office tower.

One nice thing is that when I have completed this shift, I'll have 54 hours in for this week, so I should have some time off next week.

Apparently, that time off won't come until after Tuesday morning, since I just got assigned to another 6 hours of contractor watch in the Exchange Tower on Monday night. So, up to 60 hours. That only leaves 28 hours left for the week before I bump up against the overtime ceiling for the pay period. One way or another, I'll have to get some downtime.

Not really. My current phone is so ancient and basic, with no camera or qwerty keyboard or touchcreen, but it does what I need a mobile phone to do, and if it breaks or I lose it, I won't be heartbroken.

However, my time at the Bell World store DID get me interested in setting up a pre-paid wireless data plan for my iPad, so that I'll still be able to go online in those rare instances when I am not within range of a wi-fi hotspot.
