oooo an update!
I feel like life hasnt changed much. But here we go :)
Work:
Work is bearable. We have had some pretty fun guests so that has helped. One of my managers and I are getting on the same page more often then we were before so that has been less stressful. Commission for June has been shockingly good. Hopefully the rest of the year will follow suit. It is July so summer is almost over thankfully.
Gymnastics:
That is going well and is alot of fun. I am thinking about adding another class. This class would be using Fabric and Silk kind of like Cirque De Soleil. It is on Tuesday nights at 6pm. Should be a lot of fun.
Curves:
I am still going but a less then before. The summer just takes so much out of you. I took one week off and I will go tomorrow which will make it 3 times this week. My goal right now is to stay where I am. If I continue to lose weight that is awesome but I am not going to stress about it. I will start back up full on when the season is over. I am not going to alter my diet and I am still going to every gymnastics class and possibly the silk class so its not like I am stopping everything. I just wont stress if I dont make it to Curves 5 days a week.
Bridesmaids Dress:
It fits! This is for my friend Nicole's wedding in October. I was SO afraid that even after ordering it big after I lost a lot of the weight it would still arrive 4 sizes too small like the last one did. I have to alter the straps but that is about it...maybe length needs to be adjusted..I have not tried it on with shoes yet. It is a very pretty Dark Grape color. Kind of the purple version of midnight blue. It has a trane/train (spelling????) though which I find weird. VERY pretty but I am not used to seeing Bridesmaids dresses with them. Typically that's left for the gorgeous bride. Luckily there are only one Matron of Honor and two Bridesmaids...if the party was any larger we may not be able to all walk down the aisle fast enough due to the bigger space needed between us due to the train/trane. The bottom is all circular it just has a lot more fabric that follows behind for a while. Very pretty, color looks great I think and man I have a waist in it! (Nicole...I am buying plane tickets in August, after that I am all set)
Brian:
Brian is half way done with his summer classes. The first session ends next week and then the second one starts up. The second one is distance learning so he will be doing that at home. He has started p90x (a fitness regiment) but will kick it up a notch after this week. Graduation date being December 2010 is getting closer. Our 3 year anniversary is on Tuesday but we will be celebrating later in the month at some point.
Friends:
I am as usual making no such luck in this area. I have "friends" at Curves and at gymnastics, etc but no one to see outside..on my own...without Brian. Curves ended up being older women who are very nice but could be my Grandmother. Gymnastics well..no one else is coming so I am on my own there now too since everyone disappeared but they were only there for exercise I think rather then making friends. Everyone says "go out and do something and meet people" well I am living proof that does not do much for some people. I have gone and tried multiple things to no avail. Brian's friend Josh has a new girlfriend and she is pretty cool. I invited her to gymnastics for a class just do something. I made it clear there was no pressure and no expectation for her to join..I just thought she might enjoy a class. She is into the getting fit kick as well. She declined. We have been having double dates with them...sometimes out at a restaurant and sometimes at our house with Brian cooking which is a lot of fun but I was hoping to find friends of my own. Someone to go out shopping with or just hang out with. I dont expect it will happen, definitely not at the beach and probably not as I get older. I expect when we have babies when they make friends I will end up being friends with their parents but nothing like I am used to. I also didnt expect that no one would visit me other then Matt, the once, or my parents. I moved to a huge tourist attraction that isn't too hard to get too. I just thought that I would have had more visits. I have gone up home. I dunno.
Budget:
mint.com is working out. June was our play month to see what we actually spent. This month we have set our budgets and are determined to meet them or go under haha. it should be successful. We arent bad ..in fact we are better then alot of people I know. The only real debt we have is Brians car and his student loans. I have a little on my c.c. but that gets paid off this month. And we spend within our means we could just trim a little more on the way. We also dont spend money frivolously. Sure we go to restaurants a fair amount but thats because thats all there is. Some people go to the movies, some people go drinking and clubbing, we go to restaurants. We will see how it goes. I am getting pretty excited about it.
The newest thing and most exciting thing is I will be home in CT WITH Brian for Thanksgiving! SO excited! I am taking 5 days off of work (4 as my regular day and my last vaca day) to go up. He also wants to go to FL for xmas so if we are still here we will go the week before so he and I can still work the holiday. If we are not at the beach well it will be that much easier. My mgr can only give me one holiday off which is fine. I dont mind working xmas and I dont have kids so the others with kids should have it off.
I am going to go do some laundry or something,
