To return or not to return?

Okay Brian and I went to the movies at Market Common, a Charlestonesqu shopping center, and at lunch. We had about 2 hours to kill between lunch and the movie so we started to walk around. I decided that it would be a good idea to look for a dress. A) I own two...one is too big and the other is really really fancy and B) I was curious to see what ( Read more... )

Where are you going to wear this?

I dunno, I'd probably return it, then wait for it to go on sale. That style should be under $100 because it's a pretty common cut. BUT it sure does look cute on you. I love the color and your figure has gotten so pretty Rachel! Also when did your hair grow out so long?

Ha, I'm acting like your hair just snuck up on you and grew. "WTF hair you were short yesterday!!" I guess I just haven't noticed in awhile.

I agree with the above. I like the color on you and the dress itself is cute, but I think it's a lot of money for a dress you might not wear much (or get too skinny for, haha.)
Imagine with that 200 dollars how much of an outlet shopping haul we could do ;)
Miss you!
Nic

Ya I talked to my mom and especially after seeing the pictures, I am returning it Sunday. The color is definitely my color and the style is perfect for me in terms of fit which is why it was so hard...that and the sales lady and Brian not saying yay or nay to it had me all confused. I dont usually shop without my mom or Nicole or someone I know will say Yay or Nay and will tell me the truth so when I go by myself I get all flustered. Mom and I dont like the fabric...and the shinyness of it. If it didnt cost 200 dollars it may be different but it does cost $200 and it just isnt worth it ( ... )

I can see you've already made a decision, so I'll just pipe in with: I think you made the right one. Pretty, but not worth $200!

($200 is a lot.)

I should have just returned it based on how sick I felt afterwards but I dont have good judgement on clothes and often pass up cute things because i cant decide if they are cute and was afraid it was just my insecurities that had me unsure

Well, I can totally understand insecurities making you not think straight. Arad would say I'm a pro at this. Of course, when it comes to wardrobe nowadays things are much more straightforward for me--everything comes from my work!

haha ya my uniform helps out alot. I technically need a new dress, shorts, shirts, everything especially since I have lost all the weight but thanks to my uniform I can put off worrying about how to create a good adult wardrobe. I am going to be screwed when I move to a position that I am in regular clothes for :-\
