One of the reasons I go to the Kalamazoo medieval congress is, of course, that quite a few publishers display old, new, and advance copies of books. My gut tells me that the culture-time specific journals are going to be more popular with the reenactment crowd (I'm a 10th century Scott, what do you have that's 10th century and Scottish? etc.)

Object-specific ones are popular with crafters of said types of object. Like, I'd totally squee over a publication just about bookbindings but I don't suspect many other folks would, heh ;)

A particular dig - only if it falls into the time-culture that the person is interested in.

NESAT 7? Have you checked Potboiler Press? They seem to have a couple of copies available, along with nos. 9 and 10.....
