Note to self: stop trying to write FaceBook entries that require thought after 10:00 PM. Every time I do, it seems I make no sense at all, even when I read them the next morning.

...so, what is an appropriate phrase to use for the Vernal/Autumnal Equinox when writing a note that'll be read at the same time in both hemispheres?

Too simple. There are times when I prefer specificity: "they'll be here by the equinox" could be taken to mean the autumnal equinox when the entry's written in February (albeit unlikely).

And what if a reader were to come upon the announcement some time after the equinox I was referring to, in which case they'd think the book was a long time coming.

Thirdly, it's now become a more general, historical/astronomical question: does such a term exist?

Fourthly, I love verbal-oriented discussions. :-)
