Brief moment online here in Bend Oregon.

Climbed at Smith Rock. It was incredibly freakin' AWESOME!

Lava tube cave was very weird (but also way cool)

You gona pull the plug, if my memory is working you are getting real close.

Ah...some how I had it in my head it was 0.5 months...

One of the guys I work with is pulling the plug the day he is eligible, even though he is 90% certain he will have to get another job.

The problem is, that job will certain not pay as well, will have fewer benefits (like taking off to care for his dad) and he will hate it as much as his current job.

I miss Smith! The sage is great. We used to camp out near the wild dingos and hear them howl. What did you climb?

I hired a guide and did a half-day trip (which totally clobbered me). He checked me out on rope-de-dope-rock to figure out if I could climb at all, then we went over Asterisk Pass (no small feat in itself) and climbed a couple of routes on the shady side. one was unnamed and the other was something like "Wherever I May Wander" or such like. Neither of them are in the Watts guide book.

I was totally stoked.

That's so great! I love the dusty redness -- I like to pretend I was on Mars.
We used to have a joke: "Seattle rock band or name of rock climb at Bend?"
ex: Vomit Launch, Wedding Day, Depth Charge
