Retirement

Tomorrow will be my last day of work at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. I can't quite describe how strange it feels to be "retiring". Sometimes it seems as if I am still about 28 -- At the same time I'm not even remotely that person anymore. I've spent almost exactly half of my life in the Shipyard. there is Life after Navy/Shipyard, have fun with it...

sleep in, then find something (grin) to do.

I understand much of what you are referring to, it is familiar as it's exactly like myself.... As soon as I am certain I can afford to be retired (ie no "retirement" job), I'm out the door
