I like it a lot, did you write it? I guess the message I got out of it was a sort of nostalgia for traditional Taiwan, and a rejection of western culture. Who are the "thieving foreigners though?"

why would I settle for canada if it was regection of western culture?

yea, good point, but at the same time, you put IKEA and seven eleven, which are pretty damn western to me, in the same context as floods, landslides and sulfuric acid.
