Claws for concern

Now there's an extra reason to get out to the Meikle Bin, one of the best hill walks in our area.

A regular walker on the Bin claims he saw an actual, real-life lioness padding across the peak of this little Scottish hill.

Next time I go, I might just leave Glen at home - and take along a few cat treats, just in case. Or maybe half a gazelle.

With all these stories of greatcats in the UK, has anyone actually caught one or found signs of a dead one?

At least once that I know of, though another case is niggling at the back of my memory without coming far enough forward to form an actual thought.

Here's the case I can remember... I'll post a follow up if the other one comes to mind.

Keen! I keep hearing about them and there's oodles of historical claims of them, but as far as I knew, I'd never actually heard/read anything about any actual proof of those claims.

Mind, so many people have the descriptions so spot-on, I personally have no doubt that some rich & odd folks' pets got loose at some point.

I saw something odd myself a few years back, but wasn't close enough to be sure. Just something large and sandy-coloured, with a long, straight tail. Not lion-sized or anything like that - but long enough and large enough to be at least an extremely unusual cat or oddly-proportioned dog.

I'm still trying to find cases of other carcasses - I'm sure there's something bigger than a lynx out there.

If there weren't no refrigiator, we'll get small one at internet shop.

I'll bet there'll be stories of bigger cats than that, if you dig around a little.
