Even if it can't, with the help of modern special effects, they can make it LOOK like the shark has jumped the cake.

If reality is how you perceive it, and we all perceive things differently....it's entirely possible for the shark to jump the cake. As long as the shark can see the cake, it's real. For the shark at least.

On the plus side, if you perceive the cake as a lie, yet the shark sees it as real; there's a pretty good chance that the shark will think YOU are the lie. Otherwise.....well....things might get messy. For you.

Then again, you may not even be real.
