Its pouring rain, my floors need mopping, I should clean out the fridge, change the sheets on the Babblers bed, go get bread and dog food, as well as the stuff I need to cook dinner for Pen and Kath tomorrow....however....its raining and cold, so I am lacking motivation to do anything but crawl into bed and just lounge ( Read more... ) -
Cursed!
I was up until 1am baking a cake. Not just any cake. My chocolate indulgence cake, for the Blessingway. The Babbler slept on the way home from the airport, which, is never a good thing when it comes to her 8ish bedtime. I can't bake a cake with her around. Trust me. "Me" Time
So I went shopping yesterday. Alone.
I said I'd be gone about an hour and a half. I wandered back in, about 3 hours later. Opps.
Managed to find 2 pairs of jeans that pretty well fit. I now have 3 pairs, without rips or holes. Go Me! Still have to take them in to be altered, but all in all, I'm pleased.

So I was looking at reviews of, People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks. I'll probably get it, because I liked, Year of Wonders. Though, the main reason I got into it, wasn't because of the book itself. I thought the subject matter was interesting, sure. I liked her writing style.
