I got into the Neuroscience program at FSU and they are going to give me a nice sum of money the first year I am here. They are also going to pay for my health insurance and waive my tuition and all other fees so I am all set. I have to find a place to live. Hubcap house is out. Charlie's house is out. Hell week is over. I have been to Texas and back. Gone through a grand total of 15 interviews including those professors that I met with at FSU. Saw Greg for like .0002 seconds by freak chance. Stop making strange appearances in my dreams. It is starting to freak me out.

Not so happy. The grad student I work with told me he read the letter of recommendation that my thesis professor wrote for me and said it was "really shitty". It was one paragraph long and he used the word reasonable three times and said I get along "somewhat" with the other students in the lab. Asshole...

Mardi Gras was fantastic.

Must get back to work though. I have to read up on research done by the professors I will be interviewed by. EEP!

Right. Been a while.
Went to England. Cold. Sick. BUT, FUN. It was very very different over there. I loved it, don't think the British folk were too fond of me though. All of the other foreigners were awesome and very helpful. My cat died of something called panluekopenia, a nasty virus that basically destroyed his immune system a week after he had all of his surgeries. It was horrible to have to go through :( He was throwing up and not eating for an entire week. He had horrible smelling diarrhea which consisted mainly of bacteria and he would go in and out of fevers ( Read more... )
