"Why not? I wouldn't call it Shangri-La, though," Tobias said, smiling. He looked around for a few seconds thoughtfully, then grinned faintly at the cat.
"What do you think I should call it, then?" she asked, laughing a little as she walked over to the door to scoop Toshi up in her arms. Ignoring the rather plaintive meow she received for removing the cat from the boundaries of the house.
"Right," she said, smiling as she pushed the door all the way open and stepped inside. At the moment, the table in front of the couch was scattered with writing materials, though if he bothered to look, it was obvious from the scattershot and scribbly nature of the notes there that it had been a fruitless endeavor.
The curtains were all down, though there was a sliver of opening in all of them, letting some dim light into the room. She nodded towards them, setting Toshi down. The cat promptly ran under the couch.
"You can open the curtains if you want. I don't know if you prefer light or dark," she told him, a faint grin playing about the corners of her mouth. Toying with words and double meanings, as usual. She liked to think she was clever, despite all the stupidity she was prone to.
