That sounds really weird. :( I've always believed that if one member of your immediate family (like your parents) has residency, they can sponsor you to join them. I'm sorry to hear that's not the case.

Yeah, it is a bit. I've never heard of that before, but if that is the case my father may just have played that card with mum, because she's here on a spousal visa.

I'm sorry to hear you have problems like that. It's kind of stupid, seeing how all your family will have british passports and not you. I find it very weird, I know when my uncle's family moved to Austria they got all the papers through him, even though my older cousin was at least 25 at that time. And seeing as this is EU, that's weird.

I hope it all works out for you *hugs*

Yeah, it is weird. I'm 22 now and still a dependent. There are not many people under the age of 21 or so who aren't dependents these days. As I said in the post, it's ridiculous and it's unfair. But we're not giving up hope.
