"hyung, move."
"shut up," hyunseung grumbled.
"it's hot and my arm's going numb so scoot over," i whined, nudging the hot body with an elbow. a few jabs in, my arm was immobilized by the tight grip of his hand. i groaned. "let go."
"you can't speak like that to me, i'm your elder," he mumbled. he craned his head back and with his free hand he tugged roughly at the ponytail at my nape, releasing a highly miserable squawk from me. i didn't even bother with the effort to raise my head back up, far too effected by the heat to conjure the energy to do so. once he let me have my arm back he stuck the butt of his chin into the bend of my neck and hummed comfortably, satisfied with his warm place nestled between me and the rough upholstery. on the other hand i tried to wriggle out from beneath the leg he had hooked around my lap for relief.
"well hyung, if you're just going to laze around and sleep you might as well go to bed," i sighed. hyunseung wiped his face sleepily against my shoulder and shrugged as he settled in, head now resting on my chest.
"i like it better here." i couldn't even arch away from him with the caging armrest keeping me from moving to finally feel the cool a/c on my sticky skin. "why're you fidgeting so much, just sit still."
"could you do this some other time? it'll cool down tonight."
"no."
"well could you at least move your leg? i'm burning up."
he pushed himself up and glared at me before muttering a gruff "be quiet" and went back to his previous position but laid his legs out straight.
"thanks."
a few moments passed by quietly before he ran his fingertips along the hem resting on my bicep. i turned toward him, watching him flip the fabric over in his fingers slowly.
"is this my shirt?"
"i meant to ask you first but it's soft; sorry."
"it's alright."
"really, why are you still here - aren't you hot? and it's even humid in here - am i the only one dying here?" i huffed. i sprawled my body out exasperatedly over the edge of my half of the lounge chair but didn't move any further. "aren't you miserable?"
"i'm listening to your heart beat."
"oh." i dropped my head back on the chair and sighed. the a/c kicked on with an audible click soon after. "this is going to be a long summer."
