As someone who had a plush elephant growing up, and who later got to hear author Roland Smith speak about how neat it is that he's gotten to work with elephants, I get this.

"we found elephant's mama"? I like that she made that connection. Now I wonder if she's imagined stories about her elephants. Probably.
