What am I sopposed to do?!

Right now at this moment I don't like my life-besides my Son, Caleb. His smile will melt all my frustrations away. Marriage is crap when you're the only one working to make it good/right. Does he care how I feel? Why does he ignore me? He goes into his own little xbox live world and doesn't come out for hours. I'm tired of this. How is this okay?

My sympathy and hugs. They stay it takes 100% from each and I suspect he isn't contributing much right know. I was just as guilty when I was young (maybe even now), but then it was reading - the paper, magazines, books, etc. and I didn't want to be bothered.

Maybe you could just try to draw closer to him. I don't know that it would work, he might just rebuff you, but it's something to try.

Jim, thanks for your kind words. I just try to be as patient as I can be and wait for him to get out of this selfish stage. He's missing out of time with us, but we'll be here whenever he's ready. It's just super tough doing everything and not feeling appreciated for it.

Would he be willing to do marriage counseling? I know a lot of guys aren't so down with that, but I find that counseling of any sort is often way more helpful than people anticipate. Or maybe even you could just go see someone and it could help. I dunno. Just a thought. I'll be praying for you. And I'm glad wee Caleb is such a light in your life. :o)

Corri, no he isn't down for that. His idea of dealing with things is not to make a big deal of them. (Yeah, I don't get it either.) He'll put things off tilt hey need to be dealt with. Whatever. I'll be here when he's done with this selfish phase. He's missing out on his family.
