Japanese Hair Straightening

My mom and I have been discussing about me getting Japanese Straightening done to my hair. It costs $ 600 and $ 150 for the touch-ups. It's supposed to keep your hair straight for 6 - 8 months. It takes 6 hours !!! It will last me most of the school year , so that definately helps. When and IF i ever get a job , I will pay for most of it and she ( Read more... )

Well I heard that since this type of straightening is becoming quite commonplace, the price is only about $200 at some placess. But I think investing in a good hair straightener like the Solano Sapphire types of the CHI iron would be alot better. If it helps, my friend got the Japanese straightening and says it made her hair really dry, so now she uses Kiehl's products to improve its condition.

ohhh, I know what you're talking about! My friend's aunt is a hairdresser & she does that. except we don't call it japanese hair straightening, we just call it hair straightening lol. I was thinking about getting it done, cause my hair is naturally wavy/culy and it would be nice to not have to get up and straighten it lol. anyways, she charges like $75 an hour, and I think ashley said it takes like two hours for her, so alot cheaper than $600 lol.

i heard about the japanese stuff . { they also got that thing to CURL your eyelashes for the same amount of time , lol . }

my hair is naturally . . nappy , but not that nappy that i need to spend $6OO on it . i perm it , once every 6 months . i flatiron & hot oil .

Naw ma , I'm COMPLETELY boricua. But , girl once when it rained my girl stephanie { she black } was like damn you got our hair ! hehe* yeah it ain't pretty.

My sister was lookin into that at one point, but my mom talked her out of it because she said it doesn't really work, and it's only been in the U.S for a little time and might not be that developed or something, but that was a couple years ago. If ya really feel like doin it and it'll make you feel better about yourself go for it cuz everybody like feeling prettiful!!
