I'm actually really psyched about this, and after talking to Bobby we're thinking of starting a blog in commemoration of our old stomping grounds, Gino's night club. awww, man....In the "paint a picture" question, your answer gave me goosebumps and made me incredibly nostalgic!!

Although I got into the subculture about 10 years after you did, it was very similar here in phoenix. My hearing is going from all the shows and allnighters I've gone to, but from time to time I swear I hear the sound of dozens of scooters going down the bumpy bricked alley behind my favorite venue. sigh.

Isn't that both the best and the worst...recalling the good ol' days. That distinct two-stroke sound of Vespas and Lambrettas is totally what makes it, too.

So, Miss Upsetter, having named yourself after only one of my favorite reggae heavyweights, what's your favorite tune from good ol' Scratch? Gotta hear it, c'monnn...

choosing a favorite song of his is as wrong as choosing which child is your favorite! So, so wrong! I really define his stuff by each era, but i'm most fond of his weird/silly ska stuff and early reggae.
