hey thanks! i think i got a pretty good grade too. also it was like, the second roll of holga film i ever did. i can't find the other ones. or trashed them.

those are really awesome. how did you get that crinkled exposure look?

it's darkroom work. it was a diffusion process or something for a class. i don't know if you know anything about print making but basically you put objects on top of the paper while you're making the print so it shows up on the image itself. people use lace and water on glass and stuff. it's like using those grunge brushes in photoshop. kind of.

but i used a trash bag that i got in the darkroom. and i flattened it in the center and puffed it out at the edges. and i don't know. it never turned out like i envisioned, it was kind of something i put on my list to get better at later. fun stuff though.

man i am terrible at teaching. but now i'm on the hunt for information on this, just to clarify it for myself.

i like the first one better because it's softer. but as i remember the class liked the harder lines because it was the statement i was making. which i didn't have a statement except that i like old cars. and the holga.

but they were all "it's ambiguity of technology", "the cracks of society" and i was just woah i want an A.
