I was just wondering how long after you had your baby did you continue bleeding?

6 weeks, it stopped the day I had my postpartum visit and then I got my period despite breastfeeding a few days after when I had to go to a new clinic for a pap smear so that I could get depo provera. Sucked, I had to reschedule.

Yuh thats what I wanted to know, I just had mine and my sister says for about 2-3 wks.

It varies. My first prenancy I bled for like two weeks and then got my period 3 weeks later. Plus my bleeding was very light from delivery on. My second I bled for 6 weeks then got my period a week later. And the bleeding was so varied, it would be light like it was set to stop and get heavy for a few days. All I can say is I was glad when it stopped.

About 5 1/2 weeks. Then I got my period about 8-9 weeks post partum.
