On the 30th of July, we will be posting 3 new posts for prompting in.

- the first will be an all-pairing except Derek/Stiles prompt post
- the second will be an only Derek/Stiles prompt post

I like Derek/Stiles. I also like pretty much every other pairing, canon and fanon (some more than D/S, if I'm honest). I wish some other characters/pairings would get half the attention D/S does and I hope dividing things up will motivate people to check some of their other options out, but I'm worried most people will merely stay in the Derek/Stiles section and nothing will really change. It may even be worse, because they won't pass any different prompts that may unexpectedly catch their fancy while browsing. Oh well. People write what they want and no one else can force them to enjoy what we do. I support you in trying, though, mods, and know you're backed into a corner now. Good luck!

I think the third post is unnecessary and makes things too confusing. Not all prompts are strictly sexual, but sex can still be written, and the prompts that are strictly sexual usual have sex written.

So would the non-sexual prompt post not allow porn at all? Even if there is a non-sexual prompt that spawns a story that includes sex in it? And do the stories at the Derek/Stiles and Other pairings post have to be sexual or are they allowed to not have sex?

Also, are you going to change to a more user friendly layout? Such as the ones used at avengerkink and kinkme_merlin?

Do you guys ever plan on having a pinboard for fills since not everyone uses the fill post?

We have gotten requests for the third post due to the gen, friendship, and packfic prompts. That is why it is included.

As for the other posts and sex, they do not have to have sex written.

If someone wants to volunteer for running a pinboard they are more than welcome to do so, but right now the mods don't have time.

Would you guys consider opening up a post after everything is settles, where people could volunteer to run a pinboard account? Something where two or three people are responsible for it and share the access information, rather than just one person. Maybe the mods could also have the name/password, not to use it, just to have it in case the volunteers disappear.

I would be interested in setting up a pinboard account for twkink, I helped do a retagging for the merlin kink meme so I do have some experience with that, if you want to message me we can talk about setting up a voluteer post and I can get together a tagging system based off of another meme. I would even be willing to finance the pinboard :)

Please don't do this. I think it could only hurt the chances of other pairings being written. As primarily a Derek/Stiles fan/writer I've been tempted more than once to write another pairing when browsing the prompts on the meme. But like the anon said above, if there are separate posts I doubt I would even check out the other one, or that others would as well.

I don't see the point in separating and I think it will only harm the chances of other pairings getting fills.

We are worried that this might create an even more divisive atmosphere in the meme, but we don't have many other options. I can understand not wanting to sift through hundreds of prompts just to find one that interests you, and that is why we're doing this. If you do ever not want to write Derek/Stiles, at least you know where those prompts will be.

It just makes me sad because even saying your doing this is already creating a more divisive atmosphere. People in the comments here are already being hostile to Sterek fans, and it's only going to get worse.

By separating Sterek prompts and fans from everyone else it's creating a very negative atmosphere.

Please DO do this! It is a freakin' nightmare trying to wade through all the D/S looking for prompts to fill. I would much appreciate the separate lists!

We're hoping it works, but we'll see. The fandom already has an "us vs. them" mentality, and we don't want to contribute to it.

I think separating the porn/pairing prompts from the plot based prompts is a good idea. Don't get me wrong, I love me a good kinky prompt, but sometimes I do think there's been some really interesting plot based prompts that got a bit overshadowed because they were sandwiched between porn prompts.
