I'm just wondering

What is everyone's opinions on chain dental offices. In MA, we have places like Gentle Dental and Aspen Dental. I'm starting to apply for jobs, and I've seen a couple listings for places, but I'm wondering how being employed would be at these places, and also the quality of care.

ask for a working interview before you accept a position. if they are not allowing working interviews you have to wonder why.

turnover in chains is usually high, but a lot of new grads end up starting out there because lots of private practices like to hire based on experience.

i've heard of some chains, such as 'great expressions' in Michigan allowing assistants to do 'child prophys' which mostly consist of polishing. which in not legal here.

use your head, don't be unethical, if you accept a job don't do anything you don't agree with. i know we all need money, but your license is always on the line.

awesome thanks. I had an interview with a chain today. The first thing I asked was how long the hygienists have been there. I plan on applying to other places as well, but it was nice to say I had an interview.
