Nah, my wisdom teeth have been in for years. The shifting is recent, and only in the area of the Weird Tooth.

It probably is some kind of gemination. All I know is that my dentist seemed proud to touch it. o___o'

Thank you for the speedy response.

i was thinking dens in dente, but that's present when the tooth erupts, so you would have seen it the whole time. google it and let me know what you think.

i'd like to see a picture of your freak tooth!

That doesn't seem to be it. Thanks, though.

As soon as I can get ahold of a camera, I'll take a picture.

It sounds like a supernumerary tooth to me. They are typically much smaller than normal teeth and often don't have fully developed roots which is why it would appear as if your tooth is growing an extra head if seen on an xray or in your mouth. Supernumerary teeth are also called "mesiodens" if they form in the mid-line of the face ( ... )

Hmm... That almost looks like it... Except my smaller tooth started growing out the side of the larger tooth, so it doesn't have it's own root.

The size is about right, though.

Ach, I need to go to my dentist's and see if I can get a copy of an x-ray.
