Finally got around to watching this week's episode of Supernatural this afternoon, which I enjoyed at some points and disliked at others.

I'm in complete denial that Gordon is dead. I LOVED HIM. And yes, this is Supernatural where EVERYONE dies, so I should have known, but STILL. Gordon. ;_; However, that scene where he bit Dean's neck totally made everything okay. Gordon/Dean seekrit OTP YAY.

I would have loved to see that scenario you talked about, where Sam can't go through with killing Gordon and Dean does it instead. I'm loving this morally-ambiguous!Sam but some good old fashioned Dean-saves-Sammy-because-Sammy-is-such-a-humanist would have been fabulous. Also, it would have been a great opportunity for Dean to get his hands on Gordon one last time. \o/

I just wanted to hug Dixon. Dean, too, because Dixon's story was a perfect parallel to Dean's woobie little heart.

Gordon/Dean is also my Secret OTP Of Wrongness, and the neck-biting was all kinds of wonderful. I liked Gordon a lot better last series, where he was just driven and obsessive and sexy scary, and wasn't a complete whackjob, but I certainly wouldn't object if they somehow managed to resurrect him, provided he regained a bit of sanity in the meantime.

Dean killing Gordon as a human would have been a harsh and brilliant scene, because really, for all the monsters he slaughters, killing another human being (even a crazy murderous one) would be completely different. I'd love to have seen that, rather than another reminder that Sammy is tougher and crueller and OMG CHANGED this series. Not that I didn't love the barbed wire, because YES, GO SAM, but I want Dean to get his moral ambiguity on too and not be just a martyr.

I'm having a strange interest in very minor characters this series. After Bedtime Stories all I kept wondering was what happened to the "wolf". I mean, the guy killed several people and was obviously going to get caught ( ... )
