Is it a full moon...yet?

Holidays here in Dubai are sometimes unsure. Like the coming Hari Raya (over here they called it EID), there're no definite dates for this holiday cos it all depend on the moon. If the moon is full then it's a public holiday. Despite wishing hard that it'll be a full moon yesterday, we still have to come to work today since I guess the moon is not ( Read more... )

Ya, that was exactly what my MIL said the other day. Hari Raya is celebrated on a full moon - interesting.. hee..

maybe I am glad you have singaporean neighbours around and i am sure you have fun at the gathering the next time!

can totally picture everyone going out at night to check out the moon and saying "yay!!!" (and then start jumping and dancing and celebrating) or "haiz...."(in disappointment) and then sadly go back into their houses.
