Digital TV - grrr
I've finally plugged in my digital converter box, but it's ticking me off. I really don't want to put up a huge antenna just so I can't get basic television, but I guess that's what I'm going to have to do. -

I'm mostly happy, but
there's always that bittersweet edge. Today I was in a training session and met the guy who got the job I thought I had last May. He's a good guy that I knew vaguely from my grad program and I hold absolutely no bitterness against him. I'm happy for his good fortune and wish him well. As of yesterday, I am the new assistant principal of a large suburban middle school. I had given up on a promotion happening this year, so it came as a bit of a surprise to get the call for the interview and then the offer. Livestock Aquisition - Stage3, 4, & 5 - Complete!
As of last count (several thousand honeybees excluded) there are 49 non-human animals on the farm that need care, 46 of them to be involved in food production. The breakdown - 2 dogs, 1 cat, 3 rabbits, 2 goats, 12 laying hens, and 29 unsexed chicks. So, I guess since he's staying until October, that still means I don't have snowball's chance of getting a position in administration. -
Progress As Promised
The rabbits are doing well. They are under shelter, in their hutches, eating and getting bigger by the day. I've got to do some more work closing the shelter in, but that will happen as cash becomes available. Eventually the bottom will be closed in while the top is screened and I will have 1/2 dozen chickens in there to clean up the wasted feed ( Read more... ) -
