I'm so sorry about your father-in-law. I do think you all are doing what's best because if she tried to get restraining orders against all of you for those awful reasons, who the heck knows what she might do next? I would do the same thing you are. *hugs*

You're right, it does sound like she's psychotic (literally). As for your father in law believing her, well I don't know him personally, but I would imagine that it's very hard when you are very close to someone for so many years to admit to yourself they're psychotic, that person can become the closest thing to you and your whole life and believing something like that can shatter everything. Regardless, I'm so sorry to hear that he is ill. I don't know what stage he is in but I hope he can benefit from treatment. Sorry you have to deal with the family issues as well, sometimes when it rains, it pours.
