( Jayne grew up on a desert planet, but he's been to a few places with big blue oceans. He's thinking about waves now; how they come barreling onto shore like the hounds of Hell are tailing behind them, then crash onto the sand and spread out in a rippling water table, cool and smooth and peaceful as can be. )
