For Cabin Pressure, I always try to get people hooked from the first episode. Some of the later ones are excellent, but they are more funny when you know the characters better. So, depending on how many you are going to watch, go for a few of the first ones. Then go for some of the classics (the otter one, the one with Gordon, the X-mas one etc--gah, bad with names lol).

What about that ep where they have to move the piano? That would be a good one to show different settings and that things don't need to just take place on the airplane to be good (and Yellow Car!)
Have you run across Finnemore's blog? He talked a bit about the eps back when they aired. Had some interesting behind the scene stuff.

Yeah, I fell out of love with House in S3, stopped watching in S4. Watched the last three episodes just to see what they would do with House/Wilson. Was satisfied.

The piano ep is Ottery St Mary. If you go back to Finnemore's blog when it aired, you'll see that it's one of his favourite eps too, he thinks probably because he had extra time to work on it (waiting for Benedict to recover from his illness). But even though it is in most ways unsurpassable, there are a few weak scene transitions... maybe specifically because it's not the usual flight deck/cabin/airport locations. (For instance, I have noticed that if a character leaves the room, I expect the next scene to have followed them. If it stays with the people who were left behind, I get momentarily confused.)

I absolutely LOVE the fact that Finnemore posts photos of his notebooks and talks about his process. He's my hero ( I got to meet him in London recently). Did he do that for S2 and 2 also? I haven't gone back that far ( ... )
