Went out to an event tonight. Goth/industrial thing that happens once a month. About two hundred people, pretty nice. There was a raffle. I won. I always win raffles. Two tickets to Android Lust and Afterchain next week. Also ran into a few old friends, very nice. Pleasant evening. I may have pictures available after Gina uploads them.

Not that there's anything I can do about it now, but it's not the type of thing that I'd ever really forget.

Supervisor got walked out today. No idea what this means for the department, but we're keeping things together pretty well. There's blood in the water, though, and some elements of upper management don't much care for QA... we'll see what happens.

One month to go, c'mon.

And you know what? I blame the local health care providers. I was at the hospital today, after coughing my balls off for five fucking days and vomiting up a gray paste the color and texture of shredded newspaper. Prognosis? Allergies. In other news I'm high off my ass on meds thanks to some bastard sinus infection, my son is doing awesome things pretty much non-stop now, and my wife is filing for divorce. So about an hour ago a local friend of mine called me up and asked if I wouldn't mind dragging him about 160 miles for a potential hook-up over the weekend. What the hell, I say. He's covering gas, so why not?

It is both humbling and strange to wake up knowing you've just had an incredible experience, and remembering it just so for the first few fleeting seconds before losing touch with it entirely.
