Oddest gift

I suppose that I could say the oddest gift I was given was to travel in this excuse of a Magical Mystery Tour bus turned time machine, but it isn't really.

Nope.

Surprising, isn't it?

No, the oddest gift came from my older sister. It was given to me when she left home. I was fourteen at the time. She came into my room and handed me this beat up excuse of a notebook. She patted my hand and smiled. "Read it...you'll understand" and then she left.

I read the first page then and not a word of the rest of it until I had left Brisbane and was in London. It was her diary. She's four years older than me and understood why Mum and Da got divorced. I never understood then, but it helped me to understand when I could, I suppose.

Weird, isn't it. Spend most of my life now with a hippy turned Time Lord and that's the oddest thing I can come up with? Cripes...

Oh, wait...there was the time Turlough gave me a purple frog...
