I thought Final Fantasy VII:Advent Children was a very pretty movie.
I hope they do the ff7 remake for ps3 im soo gonna get it

actually, in the special features there were previews for a third-person shooter game featuring Vincent and his story.

looked very pretty.

point #1 - not to be a nudnick, but the character reading in the neverending story is Bastion Balthazar Bux - if the actor's name is josh, i apologize

point #2 - wow. Strangely, i'm not entirely surprised that you find spiritual revelation in story-telling. I am a little aesthetically disappointed that it seems to be in Anime, but thats just a pet peeve :) the Japanese are/were extremely spiritual people, and it's pleasing to remember that that spirituality still remains a strong theme in many of their BETTER stories.
